Short Update

Hello there! I hope you are well.

TAKING A BREAK

I have been on extended break from life & game development since the 19th May 2026 to recover from a particularly challenging period in life. As such, I have paused everything to take a break and get some needed R&R, including all on-going projects and including AEGIS Kingdoms. On the plus side, I have been reading much more recently which has been a nice way to relax and disengage without staring at a screen.

Now, there is a lot of complexity with AEGIS Kingdoms due to new laws in the UK regarding age verification. I have posted about this before, but some of the methods that were possible a few months ago, are no longer available. For now, I am taking AEGIS Kingdoms back to the drawing board and will be formulating a new plan. Once that is ready to be shared, I’ll be posting here. For the time being, I have disabled the Discord server.

During this time off I will be spending some time on hobbies, personal projects and with family. I may post about that here from time to time.

WEBSITE UPDATES

The website has been simplified to core information. This should hopefully reduce bloat as much as possible.

Blog post permalinks are now organised differently. Specifically:

If you’re using any permalinks, this is a breaking change. You’ll need to update them.

COMMUNITY UPDATES

Down at the AEGIS Community, we’re enjoying weekly game nights, a somewhat-frequent custom TTRPG set in the Junk World universe, custom Discord bot features (suggestions welcome!) and most recently a discussion about the newly self-hosted Fluxer, which of course we wanted to (at the very least) check out!
