PATCH NOTES – 6th April 2025

  • NEW: Mythical weapon Arvaton’s Blade has been added to the game. Wielded by the fearsome pirate Captain Arvaton, this blade is extremely rare and as of yet, unavailable to anyone.
  • NEW: Sprinting lock feature has now been added, once you deplete your stamina, you’ll need to wait until it recovers to 25% before being able to sprint again.
  • NEW: The Ban Hammer (Mythical) has been added to the game! Happy April Fools! (No seriously it has been added to the game, but it’s only available for Moderators). However variants will be available in the future during seasonal in-game events.
  • NEW: The Battlegrounds map (unnamned as of yet) has now received proper optimised terrain, inclusive of chunks and imposters (previously just one giant chunk eating into your FPS).
  • FIX: Mistral (aka the Open Weekends island) has received proper optimised terrain imposters. The key difference from the old ones is the significant reduction in polygons to reduce load, with higher resolution textures. Specifically 1/16th the original size, weighing in at around 2000 polys. Nice. These do create a minor amount of pop in at the edges when the bounday is visible, BUT due to the distance and occlusion caused by the terrain, it shouldn’t be seen all that often. Feedback welcome on this.
  • FIX: Mastery XP now visually updates in window when the panel is open. It no longer requires a panel refresh.
  • FIX: Can now talk with NPCs whilst using the new character controller.
  • NEW: Added new logic to the character controller to streamline interactions.
  • NEW: You can now select entities with a single mouse click (indicated by the blue ring in-game and unit frame appearing in the UI.)
  • FIX: Inputs have been universally updated for multi-input support, opening up accessibility features further. Specifically, this will make it easier for rebinding and recognising inputs.
  • NEW: UI windows will now close at 10 metres when sourced from an active target.
  • FIX: Target entity selection now has a base range of 30 metres for TAB targeting.
  • FIX: An issue preventing players from joining Battleground teams once each team has at least one team member has been fixed. This sadly prevented the internal test from going ahead.

KNOWN BUGS:

  • BUG: Mastery panel hangs slightly when opening. Suspecting a wider issue with the UI.
  • BUG: Click to move doesn’t rotate the character so it looks weird.
  • BUG: Ranged weapons inexplicably consume vast amounts of remaining ammo on reload.
  • BUG: Inventory hangs when opening, causing a large frame drop.
  • BUG: Character profile doesn’t update equipment slots unless the inventory has been opened first.
  • BUG: Battlegrounds timer doesn’t always activate.
  • BUG: Click to move VFX marker doesn’t always show when using the new character controller.
  • BUG: Warping has inaccuracies causing players to fall through the map when warping within the same map.
  • BUG: Harvestables cannot be harvested when in streaming scenes.
